1990 Southerly by Northshore Yachts

Sold - call for similar listings or to sell your current boat

Southerly 115 waiting at the dock  This is a rare chance to own a true quality custom built European center cockpit pilothouse yacht.  With her new reverse cycle heat and air conditioning system, this fine yacht will take you anywhere in any conditions in comfort and style.  Custom built by a discriminating owner who watched over her during her construction, he crossed the Channel to cruise the canals of France, touched the Med and had her shipped back to Northshore for fine tuning.  She was hauled out and waited for two years, before her current owner found her and had her shipped to the Great Lakes for cruising.

She has a spacious vee berth forward with over and under single berths, with lots of light and ventilation.  There is storage under the vee berth head liner for the dining table leaf and the cushion to convert the dinette to a spacious double berth.. The forward bulkhead also provides access to the forepeak and line storage area for the windlass. Spacious salon on Southerly

The spacious salon is next with an U-shaped dinette to port and a single settee to starboard. The beautiful dinette  converts easily to a huge double berth for the rare occasions when you really need to sleep seven people. The table slides up (or down)  the compression post to make a berth, a dining area or up against the ceiling to open up the salon for entertaining.  There is generous storage throughout the salon with storage below and behind the dinette and the settee.

On starboard and just to the right of the companionway is the forward facing, sit-down interior helm and navigation station. There is plenty of room for all of your instruments and it is the electrical hub of the boat. The breaker panel is hinged and folds out for easy access for maintenance.

Across from the nav station is the L shaped galley. She has a gimbaled 2 burner stove with oven, propane safety shut off, double S.S. sink, hot and cold pressure water system, manual fresh water system, great counter space, plenty of storage for all of your galley equipment and a nice sized icebox with refrigeration. There is a series of unique pull-out locking shelves that give great secure access to all of your plates, silverware and other galley equipment. She also has a custom solid teak cabinet built in for the microwave (designed for removal for replacement or maintenance).

Next aft to starboard is the head with shower and sump.  She is equipped with a Valliant instant hot water heater for unlimited hot water.

Aft of the galley is the passageway to the aft cabin, which also provides wonderful engine room access.  To port of the passageway is the second head with head and vanity.  The passageway requires that most people duck a little as they go through .......... but the aft cabin is worth it

The aft cabin has a large double berth (with a beautiful teak leeboard)  to starboard and a seating area to port.  There are several opening ports, several non opening ports and a large opening overhead hatch with a roll up sunscreen.  The cabin is cooled (or heated) by its own reverse cycle AC unit with in cabin controls. There is plenty of room to get dressed, with lots of storage for all the stuff you need to be comfortable on a long cruise.  There is a built-in swivel mount for a TV.

There is an opening screen for the companionway and custom hinged screens for the ports and hatches.
