1984 Starwind 27

  This is a great starter boat or weekend cruiser.  With an inboard diesel and a wheel, you have the basics to take you out in comfort and safety.   Big enough for your family and friends and small enough to single hand. 

Starting forward, she has a nice sized vee berth with a filler cushion. There is a shelf all around the perimeter for your "stuff" .. like your books and glasses, a large overhead hatch for lots of light and ventilation.  With two built in reading lights and, 110V outlets for your alarm clock or light,  this is a very comfortable space. Underneath are dry lockers for storage.

Next aft is the head.  With a vanity to port and the head to starboard, there are folding doors for privacy.

Next aft is the salon with settees to both port and starboard, and a dining table that folds up next to the forward bulkhead for maximum use of space.  The starboard settee also slides out to form a double berth for extra guests.  There is a teak and holly insert in the molded fiberglass floor which gives access to the bilge.

There are built in shelves behind each settee, and cabinets behind and below both settees for storage.

The galley wraps around from the base of the companionway around to port. She has a two burner alcohol stove, icebox and sink with cold manual water system.  The microwave sits nicely out of the way under the companionway, and she has cabinets and shelves for plates, food and other galley supplies.

One the starboard side of the companionway is the quarterberth.

Wheel pedestel steering.  Dock lines, fenders, bow pulpit, stern pulpit, double lifelines with boarding gate, swim ladder, S.S. standing rigging, manual boom vang, flag halyard and navigation lights.  She has a huge sunshade to cover the cockpit at the dock or anchor.
 
 

Engine and Mechanical
 Inboard Westerbeke 10hp Diesel, with fuel filter, automatic bilge pump, rebuilt transmission, two blade prop
