Moving, must sell 1981 Catalina 25 in like-new condition. It is a very manageable and reliable boat. Other features include bunks for six adults, microwave and/or alcohol stove, two sinks, dinette, 16 gal. water tank, two top loading iceboxes, full-size marine head, Autohelm autopilot, marine radio, and Danforth anchor. Main cabin is trimmed with solid teak and upholstery is in excellent condition. Dockage at North Point Marina (on Lake Michigan) paid through the end of the 2004 season. Winter storage for 2004-05 season is included. Also included is the tandem axle trailer with surge brakes and spare tire. Trailer was designed and built for the boat in California when Catalina delivered the boat.
Forward is a surprisingly spacious vee berth that comfortably sleeps 2. With a large overhead hatch (with screen) for light and ventilation and a deck light, the berth is a nice space for sleeping and relaxing. There is storage under the berth and access to the anchor locker in the bow. There is an overhead 12 volt light.
Next aft is the head. It is separated from the berth and the salon with folding doors for privacy. The head itself is to port with storage behind ....and the vanity is to starboard. She has a full manual marine head with a 14 gallon holding tank and a deck pump out. The vanity has a sink with a manual cold water pump, mirror and storage below for all your necessities.
The salon is next with a light blue upgraded upholstery throughout the boat. The carpeting is a light gray commercial quality Berber that was custom fit with bound edges and snaps to hold it in place. There are custom pleated white curtains at all the windows for privacy. All done in a very professional installation. There are settees which double as berths on each side of the salon with storage shelves behind each one. The dining table folds up against the bulkhead when not in use and with the drop leaf, extends across the salon to seat your family and friends. There are two brass kerosene lamps for atmosphere and light. The interior is in very good condition with lots of care taken to keep her in the best of condition.
The galley is located in the port aft corner of the salon. There is plenty of storage under the microwave and the sink with racks above for cups and spices. She has a S.S. sink with manual cold water. The previous owner removed the alcohol stove and installed the microwave, but the stove and all of its attachments are still available and will be sold with the boat. It could be easily reinstalled if desired. She carries 16 gallons of fresh water in her tanks which are provided with a deck fill. The galley also has two ice boxes. One is located in the galley and the other is located in the companionway.
