1992 Gozzard 36B - Hardtop

Hunter 40 waiting for you at the dock ......   If you have been waiting for a very special boat, your waiting is over.  This is it.  I have known this boat almost it's entire life. I sold it to the second owners in 1994, and we also sold it to the current owners. There have only been 3 owners, and it has always been kept locally in fresh water. All of the owners have cared for this boat, and it shows it. The current owner upgraded all of the electronics, and multiple other systems (including even the winches) to prepare for an extended cruise before their plans changed. So the boat is ready to go NOW. These are all current pictures taken of the boat by us.

And if you have never seen a Gozzard (or even if you have) you will be amazed. These are boats that are built with the highest level of craftsmanship, unique and carefully thought out engineering by sailors, for sailors. People just caress them, and admire them, especiallly the woodwork. All of these boats are custom built, so the interiors may vary. One major difference in the newer Gozzards (and this is one) is the engine mount has changed. The older Gozzard 36s engine was mounted higher, so that the aft cabin was a single berth, and much smaller. On this boat it is truly a large double cabin as the engine no longer takes up the room.

The Gozzard’s joinery, fit and finish, and use of built in features is legendary. A very useable space for entertaining, the occasional guests, or just relaxing. Lots of storage, plentiful hanging locker space, and some surprise storage too. The clever interior that easily converts from a large, open saloon during to the day to 2 very comfortable private staterooms plus a salon at night. Both the forward and the aft interior bulkheads, fold down easily to open up the space, and can be raised when wanted for privacy. The two settee benches at the forepeak slide together in a matter of seconds to form a centerline queen sized berth which can be completely enclosed for privacy. Abundant grab rails provide safety in any seas. Private Aft Cabin with King sized quarter berth and good open area for dressing. There is a bank of drawers, shelf, and hanging locker at the entry. Two opening ports and a 12V fan provide good ventilation.
