1985 Hunter 34
Sold - call for similar listings or to sell your current boat

Hunter 34 under sail  This is one of the most popular designs Hunter ever made.  A great sailing boat that still does well in club racing, it features a roomy cabin with two private staterooms with lots of storage. All of the interior cushions have been completely recovered in 1994, in a rich deep blue fabric that gives the interior a nice traditional appearance.   .Click here for larger view of salon

Starting forward, the comfortable vee berth has a removable filler for extra room and easier access.  Small shelves line each side of the cabin for your glasses, books and other "little things".   A large overhead hatch adds light and ventilation. There is a roomy hanging locker to port, with two more storage cabinets built in to starboard, two large drawers under the berth, and two easily accessible racks for your larger items.

The previous owner designed and built a unique restraint system to keep small children, or sails, or other equipment safely contained in the vee berth while sailing or sleeping.

Next aft is the head.  To starboard is the head itself with the shower and shower sump with a teak grate.  Shower has a fold down teak seat for comfort and safety, that secures against the bulkhead when not in use.  She has hot and cold pressure water. Across from the head is the sink and vanity part of the head, with mirror, hot and cold water, and more storage both behind and beneath the sink itself.Click here for larger image of Hunter 34 1984 galley

Next aft is the salon.  There is a face to face dinette on the starboard side that converts easily to a double berth for extra guests by lowering the table and using the filler cushions. The table also has a small has a two burner gimballed alcohol stove with oven,  a double S.S. sink with hot and cold pressure water, a generous icebox with AC refrigeration new in 2004, a microwave and lots of storage. There are lights over the counters where you need them, and more opening ports for light and ventilation. A great galley to work in.

To port of the companionway is the nav station with the "usual" underlid storage for your working area. On the outside panel is the AC DC breaker panel, the Loran, the Stereo and the VHF, plus plenty of room for any equipment you would like to add in the future.

Aft of the companionway is the rear stateroom with a generous double berth with filler cushion, opening hatch and ports for ventilation and plenty of room to dress in privacy.  The bulkhead between the nav station and the aft stateroom is louvered and opens, as is the folding teak door for generous ventilation and privacy at the same time.

The engine is located directly under the companionway and have very easy access for maintenance. For those quick checks, the top of the engine enclosure is hinged and just lifts up, and the section with the stairs attached lifts completely out.
