1971 Palmer Johnson (PJ) 30 (Aqua 30)
This boat has spent her entire life on Lake Michigan since new. Built in Rackheath, Norwich, England (also know as the Aqua 30) and imported and sold by Palmer Johnson. Still on only her fourth owner. Raced in two Macs and raced as a Two Ton is a national regatta (which she won). Then she was bought as a cruiser and daysailer, and now the current owner lives aboard in the summer. The picture of the salon was taken during winter storage, explaining the boom hanging inside the cabin.
She has a vee berth forward with lots of storage and two pipe berths for additional sleeping accommodations..
Next aft to port is the head, which runs athwartship. The head is to starboard and the sink is on the port side.
The salon is next aft with twin settees on port and starboard. The backs of the settee rise for more room. The engine is located under the hinged table base. The table has two beautiful mahagony leaves that fold up for dining.
On port and just to the left of the companionway is the sit down nav station, with storage underneath both the seat and the desk. There is plenty of room for all of your instruments. Behind the nav station is a quarterberth for an additional guest or extra storage.
Across from the nav station is the galley. There is an icebox, a two burner alcohol stove, a microware and plenty of storage.. There is a S.S. sink and a manual fresh water system.
