1978 Pacific Seacraft Flicka

Pacific Seacraft Flicka waiting to be launched   If you have been looking for an extremely well built and seaworthy small cruising boat, this could be it. The hull and deck were built by Pacific Seacraft after they bought the mold for the boat. A very traditional boat, with great lines. This boat is only on her 3rd owner, and has spent her entire life on Lake Michigan. First launched in 1982, she was first equipped with an outboard and a gaff rig. Around 1990, still owned by the original family, she was rerigged with the marconi rig, roller furling and the Universal 2 cylinder diesel was installed. New sails were also purchased.

This Flicka has all of the desired features.  She has always been a fresh water boat, living in the Northern Great Lakes with a very short season in the water.  There is an enclosed head with door (currently has a Porta-Potti installed) with all of the plumbing for a marine head if desired.  Pacific Seacraft Flicka 20Inboard 2 cylinder FWC Universal diesel engine.  Aluminum mast, boom and spreaders.  Newer rolling furler on the genoa and Dutchman system on the mainsail.

This layout features the enclosed head at the base of the companionway on the port side.  The galley is on the starboard side of the companionway. There is a SeaSwing gimballed stove, and a 2 burner "camping stove" that can be mounted in the galley.

You will find an amazing amount of headroom below. There is "about" 5' 11" of headroom. The settee wraps around the forward portion of the salon, and there are 2 filler cushions that fit in the center to make a large berth for sleeping.

There is lots of storage around all of the hull sides on all sides of the settee. Lots of storage for cruising necessities.

The Force 10 propane heater is mounted on the forward face of the port bulkhead which encloses the head. There is another storage cabinet under where it is mounted.

The fully enclosed head is next, with lots of storage, including a compartment behind the head itself for one of the batteries.

The inboard Universal 2 cylinder diesel is under the companionway, with a lifting Pacific Seacraft Flicka saloncompanionway step for those quick checks. It is rare to have the 2 cylinder diesel, and it is smooth, quieter, and more powerful than either the single cylinder diesels, or outboards often used.

To starboard of the companionway is the galley. There is a deep S.S. really usable sink, lots more storage, and the electical control panels for the boat are also located right where they can be easily accessed.
