1973 C & C 30
This is a great example of C&C's famous quality in one of their most popular designs. One of the stiffest models ever produced by C&C, she thrives in heavy air. She is an accomplished racer with crisp handling, exceptional ability to point to windward and dynamic downwind stability. A federally documented vessel that has always been berthed in fresh water, Demeter has been well loved. Equally adept at cruising, she is fully outfitted and has been well cared for and updated.
Professionally Awlgripped in 1996. The present owner has already purchased his new boat and needs to find her a new home.
Accommodations
Starting forward we find a full width double v-berth with filler
cushion and plenty of storage in forepeak, side shelves and under berth.
The roomy head is next aft and runs the full width of the boat with
head and vanity to port and full height hanging locker and storage shelves
to
starboard. There is a folding door between the v-berth and head,
and a sliding door separating the head from the salon. Moving aft the salon
features a comfortable face-to-face dinette seating four to port (which
converts to a double) and a full-length settee to starboard which
slides out to form a generous berth. Settee backrest flips up to form extra
pilot berth. There is plenty of storage under dinette, behind settee
backrest and in compartments on both port and starboard. The main salon
is light and bright from oversized portlights and provides 6'3" headroom.
All upholstery throughout the boat redone (1996) and in excellent condition.
The oiled teak interior very well maintained and looks great with
new upholstery and carpeting (1996). Brass halogen red/white lights added
(1997). Bronze clock & barometer provide traditional nautical
touch. Moving aft is the galley to port and starboard of the companionway.
The galley is a space saving wraparound design to port and starboard of companionway. Gimbaled Hillerange 3 burner stove and oven, deep stainless sink to starboard. Large, well insulated, top loading ice box to port. Ample drawers, cabinets, storage cubbies and countertops both port and starboard. Pressure water and Moen faucets (1999). Filtration system for onboard water. Onboard water in two interconnected tanks under v-berth and settee. Dockside water hookup (2002). Brass halogen red/white lights new in 1997. Bronze clock & barometer add a traditional nautical touch. New white curtains for privacy.
