1984 Endeavour 38
The main salon is spacious and beautiful, with the fabulous woodwork that Endeavor is famous for. The hull is designed by Johan Valentijn for speed and comfort. There is a spacious vee berth forward with a filler cushion, lots of storage, a great built-in vanity with stool, a huge hanging locker and room to dress and move around. Custom linens were new in 1997 with a custom quilt and shams new in 1998. The huge head is next aft to port with a separate shower stall with a custom shower curtain. Even the head has beautiful wooden trim and plenty of air and ventilation. There are 14 opening Beckson ports (all new in 1999) and 6 opening Atlkins and Hoyle reversible hatches for incredible ventilation.
The salon features comfortable settees on both
port and starboard, a teak and holly cabin sole and a gorgeous huge centerline
dropleaf table. There is a beautiful brass oil trawler light over the dining
table. The current owners have had eight people for dinner. Both
settees have fold-up extensions for expanded sleeping. All
the cushions are in like-new condition in a beautiful dark blue velour.
The sit down forward facing nav station is aft
and to port. It has a large mahagony work surface, built-in chart
storage tubes and a chart light for night navigation. The large quarter
berth is behind the nav station and has a custom privacy curtain and a
custom mattress cover (all new in 1997).
The L-shaped galley is aft and to starboard. There is a Gas Systems CNG 3 burner gimbaled stove with oven, hot and cold pressure water system, fresh water manual system, a built-in wine rack, deep double stainless steel sink, teak paper towel rack, built-in spice rack, built-in dish and cup storage, and huge icebox with Adler Barbour refrigeration and lots of storage.

Sails and Rigging
Two spreader aluminum rig stepped on keel, "Dutchman" installed on
mainsail by North Sails (new 1998), additional halyard for Dutchman (new
1998), North Sails (i.e. Harken) roller furling on headstay (new 1995),
all North Sails inventory (maintained annually by North Sails), "Gennaker"
w/sock cruising spinnaker (new 1995), 150% Headsail: Radial Norlam on roller
furling w/Aeroluff for furling (new 1995) , 135% headsail, mainsail (recut
and 2 full battens added 1998), mainsail cover custom made by North Sails
(new 1997), cockpit awning, self tailing winches.
Engine and Mechanical
IB Yanmar 3HMF FWC 30hp diesel engine, engine mounts replaced
1997 by Larsen Marine, portside main bulhead replaced 1998 by Larsen
Marine, fuel gauge at the nav station, Racor 200 series fuel filter/water
seperator, custom storage cradle, custom canvas winter cover, Raritan head
with holding tank completely rebuilt in 1998, all pumps rebuilt in 1997
and 1998, manual and automatic bilge pumps, separate shower sump, 3 blade
prop (trued in 1998).
Electrical
12V ship's power and 110V shore power system with shore power cable,
2 each deep cycle batteries (new 1999), Professional Mariner battery charger,
120V/12V electrical panel, spreader lights (new and rewired 1999)
This is a really great cruising boat, that has only been lightly used in fresh water.
