1977 Hinckley SW 50
Amorina features the two cabin, two head "A"
accommodation layout. The extraordinary stowage space on Amorina
begins with the oversized forepeak.
Next, the OWNER'S STATEROOM is just aft and has a king-sized "V" berth along with a seat between the berths when the filler is removed. In 1992 all the cushions were wrapped in dacron and recovered in Majilite's "Finesse", a heat resistant, leather-look fabric one simply wipes clean. A custom quilted mattress pad and set of sheets were also made November 1991. Stowage includes two full-length hanging lockers, one with a rear shelf and flanking extra stowage area. Multiple drawers and lockers are both above and below berths along with a mirrored bureau cabinet. A full-length mirror hangs on the cabin door.
Immediately aft to port, there are two adjoining HEADS, one private to the owner's cabin, the other accessing the main cabin. Both heads are equipped with exhaust fans and Lectra-San unit-Is. Both offer stowage not only under sinks but in huge locker areas as well. The aftermost head's shower curtain is made of mildew-resistant spinnaker fabric. There is a third full length hanging locker, also with rear shelf, across from the aft head. All hanging lockers have automatic lighting.
The MAIN CABIN has a pull-out single berth to starboard and U-shaped seating (including another pull-out berth) around the dining table to port. Pilot berths are outboard of both. Both seat and back dinette cushions were prepped and recovered in the same "Finesse" fabric along with the pull-out starboard berth in 1992. The dinette backing was completely removed and replaced with a cushion designed to provide lumbar support. Both pilot berths were wrapped in dacron and provided with new mattress fabric, custom mattress pads and sheets. New curtains with blackout lining new in 1992; throw pillows in matching fabric.
The full, sit down NAVIGATION STATION is aft, starboard of the companionway. Nav seat recovered in "Finesse" accent color 1992. There is a brass clock and a Sony AM/FM stereo cassette system with 10 disc automatic disc changer was installed 1991.
The GALLEY lies across to port and boasts two ample and easily accessed refrigeration areas straddling a large freezer. Both fridge areas have removable teak-slatted bottom sections for easy cleaning. Grunert refrigeration system. There is also a Shipmate 3-burner propane stove withan oversized oven. The double stainless steel sink has pressurized hot & cold water plus a Seagull water filter (1991) which also filters water to the U-1ine ice maker. There is a Seafarer electric, engine heated 12 gallon hot water heater and a large Amana radar range. Custom wood bins fit into the large stowage area under the sink.
