1992 Santa Cruz 52
Fast is fun. And if you don't believe that, you have not been sailing on a Santa Cruz. This is the kind of boat whose speed and responsiveness make your heart beat faster. Built by the famous Santa Cruz Yachts in California and designed by Bill Lee, the workmanship is unbeatable and the speed is unbelievable. This rare one-of-a-kind fresh water SC52 is now available. This boat has lived her entire life within 30 miles of Chicago (with the usual very fast forays up to Mackinac Island). She has never been in salt water.
This Santa Cruz 52 has the race layout. The center section of the boat is identical to the two stateroom layout, however the ends of the boat are more race oriented. The main salon is a comfortable and beautifully finished entertaining area. Starting In the aft section of the boat there are two pipe berths to port and to starboard there is a double berth below with a single pipe berth overhead. Coming forward she has a large U-shaped galley to port with a large icebox, double S.S. sink, Force 10 3-burner gimbaled stove with oven. There is hot and cold pressure water. The navigation station is to starboard across from the galley with a large wet locker behind it. The nav station seat is slotted teak with limbered storage under meant for storing sea boots.
There is a large U-shaped dinette on the port side of the main saloon with a pilot berth behind. To starboard there is another settee and pilot berth with room for an optional entertainment center. There is a tremendous amount of storage underneath all the settees.
All safety gear for Offshore category one races is included with the boat.
