1986 Young Sun Pilothouse
Great liveaboard cruiser with a wonderful light and roomy two stateroom, two head layout. The beautiful mahogany interior with teak and holly cabin soles throughout the boat, give a traditional beauty to the interior. All the many storage lockers and hanging locker are faced with a mahogany grid that allow air to flow throughout the storage areas. As you walk in the pilothouse salon area from the cockpit, there is a large U-shaped dinette to port and two occassional chairs to starboard. The interior helm is forward to starboard. The is lots of light and air with three large opening ports on the forward part of the cabinhouse and three large non-opening ports on each side. There is a cabin heater for 4 season comfort.
As you continue to walk forward the galley is down and to port. The galley is only partially partition from the salon with a partial bulkhead with mahogany spindles. So it has a great open feeling, with lots of light and air. There is a three burner gimbaled stove with oven, a microwave which can be run off the inverter, a huge refrigertion/ freezer with both top and front opening doors for easy access. Across from the galley is a large navigation area set into its own alcove. This area could also be used for extra counter space for the galley when entertaining.
The master stateroom is forward with a large double bed to port, private head and shower, lots of opening ports and tons of storage. There is also a second guest stateroom with a guest head and shower. There is a separate dining area which converts into a double berth for additional guests. There is 6'6" headroom throughout the boat.
The galley is down. She has Adler Barbour 12 volt refrigeration and an engine driven deep freeze. Ship's water and raw water manual foot pumps, pressure water system, 10 gallon hot water heater, deep double stainless steel sinks.
