1984 Sabre 38 Mk I
Sold - see our new Sabre
38 listing here
New to the market. A beautiful, great sailing Sabre 38MkI by Sabre Yachts. The interior is the very useable Mk I layout with separate aft cabin. There is a generous vee berth forward with filler cushion, lots of storage and great ventilation. Next aft is the salon with settees to port and starboard. The starboard settee extend to form a double berth. There is a centerline drop leaf table. Storage is behind both berths and in cabinets above and behind. The walk-through galley is to port with tons of storage on both sides. The galley has a new (in 1995) 4-burner CNG Gas Systems gimbaled stove with oven, Sea Frost engine driven (new compressor in 1997) and 110V (new in 1994) refrigerator/freezer, hot and cold pressure water, manual fresh water and manual sea water.
Across to starboard is the "walk-through head" with shower. Next aft is the aft cabin with an oversized quarterberth to starboard and the nav station to port. This arrangement allows private access from both cabins to the head, and allows one to separate the cockpit entrance from the main cabin for ease of nighttime sailing.
There are 8 opening ports with screens, 6 opening hatches with screens, 4 dorade vents and screens for the companionway hatchway for maximum ventilation and light. There are courtesy lights installed along the cabin sole for nighttime visibility.
The interior features the beautiful teak joinery
and teak and holly cabin sole that Sabre is famous for. The nav station
also has a professionally built matching cabinet to house the SSB and other
electronics. The owner has installed a brass clock and barometer at the
nav station and a second clock, barometer and thermometer in the main cabin.
There is a brass oil lamp for those quiet evenings at anchor.
